Teachers everywhere have been quickly transitioning from classroom teaching to distance teaching. Google Classroom resources have been in high demand because they are so easy to share with students. Heck, some are even self grading!
So we have been working overtime to create new resources for Google Classroom or convert existing resources into more Google friendly resources.
I thought it might be helpful to have all of these resources in one place. We will continue to add to this list as we create.
At-Home Learning Menus
These menus are perfect for sending to families. They include fun activities to do at home that still include some academics.
I would send one for each week that you are out and ask kids to choose one activity for each day. This resource now has five different menus.
Did I mention that it is free?!

Writing Videos
My writing units are one of my most popular resource lines. You certainly can record yourself teaching the lessons straight from my units. However, teachers kept telling me that they just don’t have the time or want to tackle the technology. So I did it for you!
Each of these sets of writing videos includes 10 days of lessons. In the lessons I read mentor text passages, teach a mini lesson and fill out anchor charts. The videos end with students being given a task to complete. At the end of two weeks, they have a completed piece of writing!
You can try the opinion video lessons for FREE by clicking HERE!
I have also created a new set for informational report writing and fiction narrative writing!

Grammar Videos and Task Cards
Can I teach your students the weekly grammar lesson?
I recorded myself teaching eight different grammar lessons! Plus, I put the task cards into Google Forms.
It’s perfect! I’ll teach your students and then they can use the task cards for practice!
I would send one skill per week and so that means that this resource will cover eight weeks of distance learning!

Reading Review Activities
These activities are fantastic because they give students the opportunity to review standards and skills that you have probably already taught in class. Six different skills are included: main idea, character traits, point of view, context clues cause & effect and central message.
There are four short passages with questions for each of the six skills. This gives you a total of 24 passages with questions!
I would suggest assigning one skill (4 passages) per week.
The resource is in the Google Forms format.
We have versions: one for 2nd grade and one for 3rd/4th grade.

Math Journals
This is an oldie but goodie resource! My math journals have been around for many years.
However, the journals have received a makeover and they now include every prompt as a Google slide! This makes it super easy to assign prompts to students through Google classroom.
I should also add that this resource comes in a printable version, PowerPoint slides and Google slides!
The prompts have word problems and ask students to explain their strategy or how they know that the answer is correct. It’s a great mix of math and writing.

Math Word Problems for Google Classroom
This is a brand new resource and ideal for third grade.
The resource include five different Google Forms with math word problems. Each form has a total of 24 word problems.
There are sets for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and multi-step problems.
I would suggest assigning a set or two each week.

I hope this helps! Again, we will keep adding to this list as we create new resources that will help you during these times.
Have a Not So Wimpy day,

I have been using your writing videos in Google Classroom, but my students cannot always access the video. It says that it is restricted. I have made a copy of the slideshow in my Drive and attached it directly from Classroom. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Make sure that youtube is not blocked or restricted.
