Did you know that 1 out of every 5 students has dyslexia? Dyslexic students struggle with basic reading skills, writing, spelling and language. How can you identify a dyslexic student? How can you help your dyslexic students?
In this episode, I had the I had the pleasure of interviewing Kelly Hoover. Kelly spent 20 years in the classroom (grades 1, 2 and 3) and now she is a reading therapist. Kelly is passionate about helping dyslexic students and has all kinds of practical advice for any teacher!
I have to warn you. The sound is not good. Right when our interview started, the website we were using crashed. We had a choice: cancel the interview and miss out on the great tips or continue with less than stellar sound. We chose the later. So be warned. If you can overlook the sound issues, you will really enjoy what Kelly has to share!
