Teaching science can be tough.

Teachers tell me that their district-provided science curriculum is

📚 too long.

🤯 too complicated.

⏰ impossible to prep.

Or worse, they don’t have any curriculum at all. Yikes!

But our Science Bundle for Grades 2-3 makes teaching science a piece of cake.

This HUGE bundle takes all the guesswork out of teaching science and gives you the tools you need to teach engaging and effective lessons without breaking a sweat.

How to Use it in the Classroom:

Most units are two weeks long and follow the same routine. This saves time and students know what to expect:

A Typical 30-Minute Science Lesson:

• Mini-Lesson (10-15 minutes): Project the PowerPoint and teach. Students follow along in their booklets, filling in blanks and engaging with the content.
• Independent Work Time (12-15 minutes): Students complete booklet activities that reinforce the day’s lesson.
• Wrap-Up (2-3 minutes): Review key concepts with an exit ticket or class discussion.

Week 1: Students learn important foundational skills and basic knowledge.

Week 2: Students dig deeper and explore these skills and ideas in greater depth through passages, investigations, science stations, STEM activities, or experiments.

End of Unit: Comprehensive assessment covering all content from the unit.

Each unit follows the same structure, so you only have to teach the expectations and procedures one time. After that, your students will know exactly what’s coming next. You’ll save so much class time! And best of all, this bundle makes science FUN for your students. Hands-on investigations keep them engaged. STEM challenges build problem-solving skills. Real-world connections show them why science matters. When students enjoy science and get lots of hands-on practice, they develop critical thinking skills that transfer to every subject.

Differentiation:

There are many ways to differentiate science lessons:

• Each daily lesson plan includes intervention and enrichment suggestions built right in
• Intervention strategies provide targeted support for students who need additional help
• Enrichment activities offer advanced learners opportunities to extend their understanding
• Students can work independently, with partners, or in small groups
• Complete fewer activities or provide additional support during stations and task cards
• Use student booklets as reference materials during independent work
