School’s out for summer! Well, not quite yet. But this Beach Day project-based learning activity for grades 2-5 will bring a vacation vibe to your classroom and keep your students learning right until the last day of school. This end-of-the year resource includes math, grammar, reading, and writing activities.
Shell-ebrate the end of the school year in style with 8 fun beach-themed activities. Students will dive into learning as they pack for a day at the beach, learn to navigate their way around the beach, and enjoy a variety of beach activities including sandcastle competitions and collecting seashells. They’ll also indulge in some delicious treats at the Beach Café, learn about ocean animals, and reflect on their sand-tastic day through poetry.
Each of these activities require students to use and apply academic and problem solving skills to answer questions and complete the task, but they’ll “shore-ly” be having so much fun they won’t even realize they are learning.
This PBL activity includes two separate versions, one for grades 2-3 and one for grades 4-5, so it is easy to differentiate.
